NEW ORLEANS — Let’s not get ahead of the doctors, but things don’t look particularly good for New Orleans cornerback Paulson Adebo. Now he’s done for the rest of the year, which may make his future here uncertain.

New Orleans had no answer Thursday night for the Denver Broncos. Former Saints coach Sean Payton had to be shaking his head of just how ineffective the defense is or the offense challenged just for first downs.

Considering the number of injuries the Saints have had to endure this year, you would think the law of averages would catch up sooner or later. It’s all been bad news this far into the season.

Adebo was out after what was revealed Friday as a broken femur and Marshon Lattimore left and is now questionable next week. Those are just the ones we know about.

Adebo was to be a free agent come March, but the broken leg he suffered has a projected recovery time of 4-5 months. When they start figuring the salary cap mess, the cornerback’s time in New Orleans may have come to an end with an injury.

With quarterback Derek Carr out along with key receiver Taysom Hill among others, there really is no explanation of why or how. Most of the blame right now falls on coach Dennis Allen, but he can only coach the players general manager Mickey Loomis rounds up.

The Saints will have some time before they have to play another game. They will travel to San Diego for a matchup with the Chargers on Oct. 27 at 3:05 p.m. on Fox.
